Now this an old feature of Windows but we rarely use that, this tool can be of big help. It is the Address bar where you can actually type in anything and it will run, provided its a valid command. We can run anything from this bar as we do from the run command. Here’s how you can add the address bar in your task bar.

  1. Right click on Task bar and then toolbars and then click address. You will see a address bar in your Task Bar.
  2. Double click on that and will be expanded, but your Task bar should not be Locked
  3. Now you can type in anything over there, and it will run, be it be any command or any site as well.
  4. Address Bar

  5. You can double click it to get it Expand and collapse it.
