Internet Explorer, one of the most widely used browser on the internet today. Sometimes when you use old operating systems like windows 98, and you want to upgrade your current version of IE to the new one specially upgrading from IE 5 or 5.5 to 6.0. Untill you upgrade to IE 6, some of the application on the Internet today wont work. These are by default compatible with IE 6.
Now when you upgrade using a disk provided by your ISP, or by any of the IT magazines, then they do add tag line “Microsoft Internet Explorer Provided By ….. ” and that makes the title of your IE too long. Now there is a solution to it as it can be edited easily. you can even put your own name in the title. However if you are using IE 7 as your Browser in Xp then you might not see these registry values, as its a addon for Xp, but these values might be present in Vista. Again there is some registry editing work, so be careful while performing this task.
Try this, But as you need to open registry, do it with care. Use some Registry editing Software’s.
Try these.
