Few days back, I posted about how to hide the Hard Drive Partition. One of the readers tried it, and faced a problem. The problem was that the drive he wanted to hide was not shown the options, thus not able to hide the drive. Now there is a registry hack to it as well, where we can hide any set of drives by choosing the correct Hex or Decimal Values. Before trying this registry hack, make sure that you create a backup of your registry.
Follow these steps carefully.
You are now done with hiding all the drives in your My Computer, but they will still show in Disk Manager. But, in case you want to hide a specific drive here are the Decimal values you need to enter.
A: 1, B: 2, C: 4, D: 8, E: 16, F: 32, G: 64, H: 128, I: 256, J: 512, K: 1024, L: 2048, M: 4096, N: 8192, O: 16384, P: 32768,
Q: 65536, R: 131072, S: 262144, T: 524288, U: 1048576, V: 2097152, W: 4194304, X: 8388608, Y: 16777216, Z: 33554432,
ALL: 67108863
Also, in case you need to hide a different set of drives like C: and D:, then enter the value 4(C:) + 8(D:) i.e.12.
Hope its now clear and you can now easily hide any of your drives.
Enjoy!!!
