MetaTrader has changed how Forex traders and brokers operate. The platform is used by brokers and traders alike and is designed to make the trading process a bit easier. It is currently the most widely used trading platform in the world. Developed by MetaQuotes, MetaTrader offers two different versions and each have their own benefits. If you are trying to decide between the two, you need to better understand these benefits and how this platform can help you with your trading.

Both versions offer similar account interfaces and charting. The major difference in the two is that MT5 is a bit more spaced out and offers larger and easier to see buttons. Of course, this means that it takes up a bit more space so if you prefer a compact version, MT4 may be a better choice. Many brokers now offer this software which makes it more convenient for you to trade and manage your trading account. Alpari MT5 software is currently available for demo trading which will enable you to get a better feel for the platform and decide for yourself if you prefer it to the earlier version.

Whether you choose the older version or this newest one, there is no denying that MetaTrader has certainly changed how Forex traders operate. You no longer have to sit at your computer in order to make profitable trades. With a number of features and benefits, this platform allows you the convenience of a mobile trading application with the power of a traditional online platform. Many traders have begun to install the app on their iPhones and iPads and are learning just how convenient it can be to trade at any time of the day or night. Though both MT4 and MT5 are designed to offer the same benefits, many feel that there are worlds of differences in the two. Take the time to learn more about the benefits of each and decide for yourself which one is best for your trading needs.

Training Tutorials Successful

One of the fastest growing sub fields within the realm of information technology is in the development and deployment of online tutorials. Businesses and corporations have been utilizing online training techniques for many years but only in recent years have both training tutorial videos and programs become so prevalent. Companies and corporations all around the world have found that making use of computer based training will allow employees to feel that they have control over their training progress and it makes them more eager to learn and become that much more productive. Many world wide banks make use of online tutorials to teach new window tellers and automated teller machine repair workers. Tutorials allow employee trainees to receive the feeling of actual hands on experience without the pressure of being in a live scenario, which can often times help alleviate feelings of fear that employees are uninformed about the technical aspects of their jobs.

There are two very broad types of tutorials which are generally offered for employee orientation or training and that is whether or not the tutorials are streamlined or free form. Streamlined tutorials are very structured, linear, and straight forward in the training information which is presented to the user while free form tutorials allow users to explore programs and information. Both types have positive and negative aspects but both types are very successful when it comes to training current and new employees on technical aspects of certain jobs. Streamlined tutorials have the benefit of transmitting training information with certainty but they can be rather restrictive and basic. Free form tutorials on the other hand allow the user to explore as deep into their training information as they wish but it comes with the possible disadvantage that the user is not focused upon particular goals. The differences between the two general types of tutorials lets trainers choose how they wish to present their training information.

June 18th, 2012 | No Comments | Posted in Business

How well do you think that you perceive other people’s emotions? Do you think that by talking to someone to studying them that you can get a good understanding of how they are feeling or how they will react to a certain situation? This all comes under emotional intelligence and it is something that a lot of businesses and professions are now turning their attention to. Surely, however, technology is actually destroying this?

Because a lot of things are now done purely through electronic means then our capacity to perceive emotions in other people has probably been diminished. Correspondence is generally done now through text or email and even meetings can be carried out over the phone so we have less and less human contact as a result and this has, to an extent, reduced our ability to understand the emotions of others. Regular face to face communication is being done away with to a degree however technology itself is not destroying the emotional intelligence in us rather parts of it is trying to actively help it. There are many programs and games out there that can help us develop your EI. Unlike IQ which remains very static throughout your life you can significantly improve your EQ skills or decrease them too over time and this is why many professions are now placing a lot of emphasis on it.

Building up relationships between clients, customers and the business is just one thing that EI is being used for now and many firms are finding that it can help to create a long term and sustainable client base. By using some of the technology on offer to help develop your emotional intelligence skills while maintaining constant interaction then you will find your EQ level rise dramatically in a short space of time.

If you had asked someone what mobile commerce was 10 years ago they probably would not have had a clue and even up to 5 years ago you would still have gotten your fair share of blank stares. This type of commerce is currently expanding and growing at an unprecedented rate and more and more businesses – local, national and international – are seeing the benefits that expanding into this market can bring. Not only does it allow you to do many activities such as banking or shopping online through your mobile phone and on the move but it is also relatively safe to do so.

However, what about the new(ish) WiMAX technology and how is this aiding the commerce market? WiMAX is essentially a technology that allows large areas to easily receive fast internet through a wireless means and it was very much designed to be used with mobile phones. Indeed, it is considered a part of the 4G technology; if you have ever used internet on your phone then you will be, at least partly, familiar with 3G and you will know that your internet speed rises on your mobile device when you are in an area that can receive 3G data.

How is this good for mobile commerce? Well it means that a larger percentage of the population will be able to have access to this 4G service (that boasts speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s in some areas and as this technology is expanded to more and more cities then a significant number of consumers can use their mobile apps to do things such as banking and shopping but at greater speed and with far more ease than before. For a market that is already booming this looks like the newest technology to significantly aide its extraordinary growth.
